Emile Freshwater is a character in the Melisende Dulac Series.
Biography
Brother of Towhee, Tabitha, and Jared Freshwater. Son of Clark and Dorothy Freshwater.
He was an avid birdwatcher. Towhee still has his birding life list book.
He died on Valentine's Day 2007, a victim in the Freshwater Murders.

During the events of Memory Garden, Towhee and Melisende discover Emile survived the shooting. However, he was seriously brain injured, to the point he had to be institutionalized. Virginia Naciente arranged for his care in a facility in Portland, and chose to never tell Towhee because it was believed he would have no memory of her. His communication is severely impaired, and he shows no indication of possessing any long term memory. However, when Melisende takes Towhee to the facility, they discover he does remember her.
