Uncommon Cup is name of a small chain of coffeehouses owned by Ruby Jane Whittaker in the Skin Kadash Series and The Myth of Joey Getchie series.
Details
Originally, Uncommon Cup was a single shop in southeast Portland, Oregon not far from the intersection of SE Sandy Boulevard and SE 10th Avenue. Subsequently, Ruby Jane opened two more locations, one just a few blocks away and the second in Portland's Hawthorne District. By the events of County Line, the original location was no longer open for retail business, serving instead as a business office and roastery.
By the events of Property of the State, the Hawthorne District shop was managed by Marcy Weaver and frequented by Joey Getchie. By this time also, Skin Kadash, since retired from the Portland Police Bureau, worked part time as a barista.
