Wilhelmina "Minnie" Dornbeck is a character in the Eden Pond Series.
Biography
One of Eden's friends at the shipyard, she's friendly and outgoing, and hardworking, skillful welder.
Before the war, worked as a model for a department store, and is notable for her uncommon beauty. She has high cheekbones, white teeth, and startling blue eyes. As a result, Blanche Wilmot treats her with jealous contempt. As her friend, Eden experiences some blowback from this jealousy.
High-cheeked and blond, with blue eyes that could warm the coldest heart, she made more sense as a photograph in a magazine ad than a welder.
