The Sam Barlow Building is a location in Barlow County in the Melisende Dulac Series.

Details

The building is located in the Town Common section of Samuelton, facing Susannah Lee Memorial Park. It is home of the Sheriff's Department, jail, county court and DA, county commission and Samuelton city offices, and the county vital records archive. It is named in honor of pioneer Samuel Kimbrough Barlow, known for establishing the Barlow Road, one of the most heavily used segments of the Oregon Trail.

Originally built in 1910 as part of Samuelton's effort to be named the county seat (taking the honor from the newly renamed Crestview, the building was renovated in 2012 in a restoration that modernized but retained its historic character.[1]
