Biography
Of Basque descent, his given name is Jakes, pronounced YAH-kes. He is Zuriñe Caratachea's twin brother.
According to Melisende, he had "dark hair, soulful golden eyes, and leading man good looks." By all accounts, he leveraged his looks and his deft hand with flattery to seduce a significant number of women. As a result, he had a mixed reputation at best in the Barlow County, and had engendered hostility in many.
His mother's name was Neria and his father's name was Nikola.
