The Wimble Murders refers to the February 14, 2000 murder/suicide committed by Robert Wimble against his wife and himself in Appleton, Wisconsin. His four-old-daughter Thea survived.
Because of the similarity in the name and the age of the survivor, Theta Wimble developed an obsessive interest in the case—to the point she began to identity herself as the girl who survived despite the fact there was no connection between her family and the Appleton Wimbles.
