The New Mortuary refers to the second funeral home owned by the Bouton family in the Melisende Dulac Series.
Details
Over time, when the original location of Bouton Funerary Service on Shatter Hill became less economically viable, the family opened a second location in Samuelton. In 1974, this facility became the primary location for the business. The Old Mortuary remained open as a secondary facility that hosted a small number of memorials each year until August 2017, at which point the New Mortuary became the sole Bouton location.
