When Barlow County rancher Jake Caratachea is found dead at the very spot where his ancestor met a heroic end, the first thought is suicide. On hand to handle funeral arrangements, apprentice mortician Melisende Dulac discovers not only was Jake murdered, but everyone close to him has something to hide.
"The Sheepshooter's Funeral" is preceded by the story "Christmas Spirit" and followed by the novel "Memory Garden."
"The Sheepshooter's Funeral" takes place from 21 April 2018 through 26 April 2018, with a flashback to 19 April 2018.
