Alfred "Arf" Walker is a character in the Eden Pond Series.
Arf Walker worked at a cheese factory, as well as serving as an Air Raid Warden at the same post as Harry Pond. He was a heavy drinker.
He was only friendly terms with Fred Turley.
He was also involved in a ring of tire thieves working up and down the coast during the first months of World War II, and peripherally connected to a scheme to steal land from Japanese resident aliens and Japanese-Americans. Though not directly involved in the death of Harry Pond, his connection to the scheme proved a weakness in the conspiracy and he was murdered to keep his mouth shut.
