Overview

Anxious for a change of scenery, Eden Pond accepts a job at a new defense facility in the rolling plains of eastern Washington. She has no idea she’s joining one the most secret endeavors in U.S. history, the Manhattan Project. More shocking still, less than a month after she starts work on the construction team building one the world’s first nuclear reactors, she's accused of being a spy.

Chronology
The events of the novel take place in Fall 1943. Hanford Intrigue follows Women's Air Service and precedes Fire Balloon.
