Shibuya Farm is a location in the Eden Pond Series.

Details

Located three miles northeast of Garibaldi, Oregon on the Miami River, Shibuya Farm is the home of Jonah Shibuya and his family. Originally owned by his immigrant grandfather, In 1920 it was deeded to Jonah in trust in anticipation of the passage of the Oregon Alien Land Law. After his father died, Jonah took over full-time management of the farm, growing alfalfa for sale to other farmer and vegetables for sale to local groceries and at his own farm stand.

In January of 1942, Jonah signed over the deed to the farm to Merton Pond with the idea it would be protected in the event of any draconian measures the United States might take against its Japanese population. This decision turned out to be well-founded.
