Nanette Howard is a character in the Eden Pond Series.

Biography

Nanette Howard worked at Sunrise Bakery, where she was friendly with Harry Pond and later with Eden Pond. She was one of the indigenous Tillamook people. She grew up in the derisively-named "Squawtown" community at Hobsonville on the northeastern side of Tillamook Bay.

Her son, Oscar, was in the U.S. Navy and assigned to the USS Nevada. He died during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
