Shunsuke Yokoyama

Shunsuke Yokoyama is a character in the Eden Pond Series.

Biography

Shunsuke Yokoyama was one of a group of Japanese men who immigrated to the Tillamook Bay in the late 1920s to help re-establish the oyster population using seed from Japan. Along with several others, he lived at the base of the Bayocean Peninsula. After the start of World War II,

He was friends with Jonah and Harry Pond. He was the man who gave Harry a bucket hat, an item that Eden later claimed after Harry's death.

In March of 1942, he was present when a group of locals including Fred Turley, Ralph Ratto, and Una Rapp assaulted the Japanese home, ostensibly with the intention of "evacuating the enemy Japanese" from the coast. The group was driven off by the Japanese oystermen with the help of Eden Pond.
